The Municipal Enterprise for Water Supply and Sewerage Sitia (DEYA Sitia) is a private entity with charitable status and is governed as to the administration, organization, execution, operation and maintenance of projects powers and funding sources of the provisions of the Law "On incentives for the business supply water and sewage".

Company headquarters is in the town of Sitia in Lasithi and the area of competence of the company is the region of the municipality of Sitia.

The assets of the company owned water and sanitation projects in the area of competence of enterprises, which were or will be executed based on studies that have been or will be approved, all existing sewers and waterworks and sewerage and rainwater, all sewers the open pipes that flow directly or indirectly to the network, as well as drinking water treatment plants and wastewater.

The company is managed by the Board consisting of five members. Among the members of the Board, two Councilors, one is act through social body of the municipality and two are citizens or residents who have experience or knowledge relating to the business object. The members of the Board after the alternates shall be appointed by the city council and the Board of Directors term follows the term of municipal councils and ends just installed new members.
